Went to school for Economics but disagree with a lot of the assumptions they make about human behavior and how macro stuff works.

I got into SW in the fall of 2009, when it was released. I played a demo of it at GenCon earlier that year when Colby was showing it to Heroscape fans. I wasn't sold on it at first but started to see more depth the more I dug in. Flash forward a few months later, and I was playing it in the morning with the kids I worked with, and a little after that I became the lead play tester for about 2 years. I kinda fell off around when the second Summoners started coming out. Despite there being a summoner named after my online handle, I've hardly played that deck! I played a lot more of the first Cloaks summoner, Vlox. Sneeks was probably my favorite deck to play though. When 2nd edition came out I was super excited. I've got over 1000 games logged!

I'd probably make it illegal to attack your own units. There are some neat plays here and there, but I still find it's counterintuitive for new players and just kind of odd. I feel like one of the best changes in this edition was to no longer get magic for destroying your own stuff. It feels like kind of a weird half measure to still allow you to attack your own stuff, either to deny magic or just trigger other special abilities.

I like old video games like Civilization, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Tactics, Halo, and Diablo II. I like card games like Race for the Galaxy, Magic, Dominion, Puzzle Strike, and Abandon all Artichokes. I like some video games that remind me of both, like Slay the Spire, Hades, and Into the Breach. Big Root/Oath fan too. Like a lot of suburban kids, I grew up playing soccer. I usually played defense, and in hindsight, I probably kicked the ball out too often instead of passing.
